I met your mom over the phone just after she married your father, before we ever met in person.. I could tell just from her personality she was perfect for the juvenile delinquent, aka your father.
The first time they came to Swampscott it was instant "old friends".
I remember the good time we had when she snuck into Swampscott to tape a lot of the places Stuie, Yes Stuie, (I know west coasters shorten names ...Stuie - Stu Louie - Lou etc.) to make a bio film of his life and the Seagulls at "Kelly's" as we tried to eat on the beach.
Then there was the trip to Boston on the 4th of July. The Pops concert and fireworks and how she kind of freaked in the crowd of 500,000 people so we crossed over the highway and sat in a driveway and watched the show.
Your Mom has gone through a lot raising three children. Two who have grown up and are outstanding young adults.... and then there's
the third she has done wonders, with what she had to work with.
I have to say now how lucky I am to be able to call Wendy a friend, and thank her for making my old, and I mean really old, friend happy all these years.
He's a lucky bastard. I can say bastard because knowing your father you probably have heard worse.
Love to Wendy on being SOOO much younger than the rest of us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
Love and hugs
