Wendy is wonderfully warm and generous

Life often leads us on a path that isn't always planned.
When I found myself pregnant at the age of twenty with no help, I was relieved to find The Cradle Adoption Agency in Evanston, Illinois.
I was even more relieved when I found that I'd be able to stay for my last trimester with a family nearby.
That family was Wendy's wonderfully warm and generous clan.
I was with them for almost two years??
Wendy was ten when I arrived and was as outgoing and brilliant then as she is now; forty-five years later.

I was able to attend junior college, sew, create and learn that love makes a difference.
At one point, Wendy was fifteen??, she came out to stay with me in San Jose, CA.
She jumped right in with me as I was attempting to sell a product/Stik Snak at the San Jose County Fair.
Alas, the artichoke heart. cheese, tomato, salami, shrimp and  cream cheese on a skewer was too healthy for a County Fair. The French Fry guy did well.
We had the best time though and my guess is that when she returned to school, not many other classmates could report that they'd done what she had done.

Wendy Segall, you are beautiful inside and out.
Happy Birthday.
I love you, Madeline
