It was on beautiful Champs-Elysées in December where I met the great Segall family. Although I already had so many conversations with you on skype I felt like I knew you, meeting you for the first time was a night I will never forget. Aside from the magic in the streets, spotting Michael Buble in the hotel bathroom, and enjoying fabulous food, I was able to get to know the most wonderful mom of my newfound best friend. Spending those four months in Europe with Morgan showed me what a caring, encouraging and fun mother and person you are.
You are responsible for some of the best memories I have of studying abroad. You suggested that we go to the Père Lachaise cemetery, helped us make it to Amsterdam and Berlin, and reminded us daily to get outside and soak up our precious time- THANK YOU for that. All of your kind thoughts and words to both Morgan and her friends show what a beautiful person you are inside and out.
In addition to being the greatest mom, you happen to also be an artist. You made our place feel like home while at the same time looking like a piece of art everywhere you look. I love this picture of you because you really complete the setting to the fabulous apartment that you made for us… All that you have done is so much appreciated. I feel you are a person who is always going out of your way to make things special and fun for the people you love, and that’s an attribute few people have in the world. So happy birthday to you! I hope that you have a day that’s filled with YOU feeling special and appreciated and that you are surrounded by the people you love. You are truly one of a kind!
Love, Nikki
